SotG Clubs in most cases will be extensions of the SotG Discussion Groups, but with additional regular activities. And some SotG Clubs will have a specific focus such as Women’s Empowerment or Social/Impact Entrepreneurship, etc.
Here are a few started ideas on the types of activities we see our Women’s Empowerment specific clubs engaging in, followed by the type of activities common to all SotG Clubs
-Organizing Women’s Empowerment lunches, dinners, and coffees in public venues – In many cases this might be done in conjunction with a partner organization
-Organizing online discussion events, such as events that bring together alumni and current students
-Organizing Role Model events either online or offline
–Group participation in other events such as women’s marches
-STEM outreach into neighborhood schools
-Female Entrepreneurship programs
-Creating Safe Space groups for students and women’s facing specific types of challenges.
Activities common to all SotG Clubs
– Organizing discussion lunches or dinners in public venues
– Community improvement projects
– SotG Conferences / Ted-type Talks
– Participation in global SotG initiatives
– SotG Business Awards or Galas to honor individuals
– Organizing other SotG events such as
“5 minutes of Yoga and Conversation”
Sports and Conversation evenings
For school Clubs we are also organize a mentorship program for Social Impact and Social Entrepreneurship projects, as well as a structure where the clubs can help well known student athletes from their school start their own non-profit initiatives.
